About Me

Outside of engineering I enjoy running, skiing, hiking, and exploring the outdoors! Here's a picture of me on top of Mount Battie in Camden, Maine.
My name is Dennis and I'm a fourth year honors mechanical engineering student at Northeastern University. I come from the small town of Heath, MA which is home to less than 700 people. I grew up as a curious child who loved playing with legos and any tools that I could get my hands on. You'd probably find me around the house building a bridge over the ditch next to our driveway or making a working lego vending machine. I knew from a very young age that I wanted a career where I could design and build the machines that fascinated me from the very start. Once I was old enough to learn what engineering was, I knew that it was the right path for me.
My small town high school didn't have any fancy robotics clubs or much in the way of STEM resources so I made an effort to take advantage of every possible opportunity that I could. My hard work paid off and I committed to Northeastern University for Mechanical Engineering in 2022.
Since then, I have completed 2 Co-Ops and 1 internship, totalling 1.5 years of practical engineering experience all while still in college. This real world engineering knowledge combined with success in the classroom and club projects gives me the skills that I need to succeed in the workplace.
I hope to use these skills to make new impacts in sustainable engineering projects that can make the world a better place for us all to live in. I am particularly interested in working in the fields of renewable energy and nuclear power generation. I want to encourage the use and expansion of clean power technologies and believe that nuclear power has a big role to play in decarbonization!
